Spending time with the Family

Hi Friends.

We are so thankful with God this summer for our first summer church family camp. Most of the time parents want more activities for their children during the vacations. In Peru they like to put their children in music classes, poetry classes, swim, language, etc. However they don't consider that the vacations may be an opportunity to spend more time with their children. They only think how busy they are!!

So we worked for 3 months to raise money and organize a program for this camp. Praise God that on the camp we had 9 families, parents and children together, for 3 days leaving, playing, swimming, eating, working like a team in some activities. They were really grateful for this camp.

Sometimes we want to look for more activities for our children apart from us but often they want to spend more time with us!!

Thank you God for providing and protecting us!!! People are asking me for the dates for the next family camp.  

Reach the Unreached

I heard about reaching the unreached people in my last mission's training.

While I was involved in the "Wheels for the World 2011" as a general coordinator I saw a lot people in bed for long periods of time - stuck inside their home. They had never heard about Jesus and the message of the eternal life and especially about our new bodies in the future. I met children that in last 10 years spent most of their time in bed. 

Reaching out to Street Children

These boys are abandoned and were previously street children. They are now in a government orphanage. Some have come from family with alcohol problems or with sexual abuse and as a result have hate and anger in their hearts. Many have drug addictions eg. sniffing halucinagens. They are in need of the love of God. So next November I will start a Bible study twice a week to disciple and share God's love. We have permission from the social worker for this.
